We had an official launch event at the hands the famous actress, Sai Tamhankar and Indian Cricketer, Kedar Jadhav on 20th July 2018 at The Ambassador, Mumbai.
The morning of 20th July was not a regular one. Anxiety was at its peak. It was the first time, CelebConnect was going public with the media. All arrangements were in place- the venue was ready, the celebrities were coordinated, the media was invited, the informational material was ready, it was all now on how it played out and it played out well.
Three founders started off from Pune in the morning, reached the venue in time and looked after any last minute adjustments that needed to be done. Rains had showered their blessings by not pouring much that day. By 1:00 PM, the stage was all set.
At 2:00 PM, Kedar Jadhav reached the venue accompanied by one of the founders. Shortly, Sai Tamhankar also reached the venue. While they got used to the place and the concept behind CelebConnect, the event flow was being finalised.
By 2:45 PM, the media had started flowing in. We started the event, with a welcome speech by Mr Amit Bharatwansh, Co-founder followed by a short video explaining the concept. This continued into a symbolic launch of the app.
Bhagyesh Ranade, Co-founder, made the gathering understand the concept, its stakeholders and the need behind the platform.
Talking to the media, Sai highlighted the importance and need of this App to Celebrities and Celebrity Managers in order to improve their reach in getting worldwide requests, in maintaining the privacy and in filtering the online requests.
Kedar highlighted the fact that this App is going to help Celebrities not just from the Film & TV Industry but also Educators, Sportspersons and other celebrities from different genres.
Shrirang Khaparde, Co-founder, explained how celebrities and their managers could come onboard using the CelebConnect App.
Bhushan Maskay, Co-founder, put the spotlight on the various features of the app and how it is the first attempt in the world at something for Celebrities and Celebrity Managers.
This was followed by a short Q&A with the media, after which everyone broke for tea and snacks.
