Rahman is considered as one of the legendary composers of our time and has a huge fan following and several bands are formed to tribute him, but ‘Mozart of Madras’ stands differently amongst them due to their innovation. What makes them different is they don’t play Rahman’s songs as it is, because the audience has heard them many times. They spice it up and integrate it with their own compositions but as they say, the ‘feel’ remains the same.

The performance starts with the seamless medley of greatest three of Rahman’s compositions- Taal se Taal Mila from Taal, Khalbali from Rang De Basanti, and Mausam Escape from Slumdog Millionaire. They also feature popular south music along with the Hindi tracks. Rehman’s songs have established the unique place for Indian Contemporary music, which is a classic blend of Indian and Western music. Hence, we experience a vast range of music right from Indian pop to jazz.  Mozart of Madras comprises Vocalists Ashutosh Joshi, Rama Kulkarni, Keyboardist Ninad Solapurkar, Drummer Rohan Vanage, Percussionist Sohan Sane, Guitarists Kirit Mandavgane, Amit Gadgil and their crew ensure that they will mesmerize the crowd and all age groups will surely be entertained.
